Companies like Ubisoft, Epic Games, Gearbox, Amazon Studios just to name a few have already integrated blender in their pipeline in some shape or forum.
3DS MAX 2018 MENU SLOW HOW TO
Unlike Blender Foundation has total freedom, no share holders just a community and their ideas on how to improve blender in the needs of the people who use their tool. I do agree with John Martini Max has changed a lot and yes every package has its own issues but bean counters at Autodesk or as most people know them as shareholders are the ones slowing down max ’s development along with their awesome subscription methods just like their new Autodesk credit system so focus on that and not listening to the people using their tool. As soon as the old development team gotten chewed up and spit out by Autodesk I knew it was time to switch. I’ve used max since days of being named Discreet 3Ds max. It’s crazy how much things have grown over the years. When i started using 3ds Max, there was no Edit Poly, or even uvUnwrap. If you sit back and look at what todays version of 3ds Max can do, versus what it could do back in the day. At the end of the day, as long as the rendered image of pixels look’s good, it doesn’t matter how you got there. In a real world scenario, based on everywhere I’ve ever worked, ever application is being used, capitalizing on the strong areas of each one. It’s like comparing athletes to one another. It’s one thing to suggest improvements and new features, but to compare max to maya or blender….i don’t think that many people truly care to hear about it. Over the years there have been endless gripes and complaints from every which way. Yeah it’s not perfect and it has it’s issues or bugs here in there….but what people don’t realize, is that every application faces the same problems. Just wanted to shout out and say I love using 3ds Max. USDView is also now shipped with its required dependencies.Ī lot more is included, please see the official list on Autodesk’s website, Changsoo Eun’s more comprehensive list on, and the release notes. It also includes improved performance for exporting mesh and scene data and enhanced support for exporting/importing Photometric Lights and cameras.
